Grand Cliff Top Walk

From AUD $290.00
  • Duration: 8 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: KATOOMBA, New South Wales

This full-day 14km walk will lead us away from the heavily visited trails near the Three Sisters on to the lesser-travelled trails through Leura to Wentworth Falls. The walk will spoil us with abundant views of the Jamison Valley. Whilst we spend most of our time high above the Valley we’ll also pass through a few special lush forested pockets where a cool off in the creeks will welcome us if the day is a hot one. There will also be a few occasions of walking the tree-lined back streets of Leura as we connect sections of trail to enjoy this iconic Jamison Valley clifftop walk.

Lunch

All BMAC full day participants receive a generous picnic lunch, provided by our local deli.

Select one of their delicious, gourmet sandwich options when you book your trip.  Altitude Deli can cater to most dietary requirements with notice, so please let us know of your needs as soon as possible.

Things to bring

Comfortable clothes suited to the weather.  Katoomba is 1000m above sea level and you can expect cooler temperatures than in Sydney.
As a general rule we recommend:

  • Long sleeves and pants for sun and scratch protection
  • Wool, synthetic and fleece fabrics (no cotton or denim)
  • Comfortable, closed shoes that you wear regularly.  Your feet may get wet and muddy.
  • Sun hat, sunscreen and beanie
  • Rain jacket
  • Hair tie for those with long hair

Participant Requirements

We believe our bushwalking adventures are heaps of fun, and we want to ensure you have the best experience possible. It’s important to us that you have the fitness and skills to enjoy your time with us so please read on:

Fitness:  For our 1 and 3 hour bushwalking experiences, participants require a low level of fitness.  For longer walks, please call our office.

Mobility:  Bushwalking participants will get the most out of their bushwalk with BMAC if they feel comfortable walking up and down stairs and on uneven ground.

Also: BMAC requires each participant to follow all instructions from our guides, to maintain a safe work environment and ensure the wellbeing and safety of the whole group.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns, we’d be delighted to talk with you.
