Already climb? Want to get the most out
of your day in the Blue Mountains? Give us a call and discuss your particular
experience and we will ensure that we pair you up with a guide who can provide
you with the day out that you want. From introductory to extreme, the Blue
Mountains has it all and we have staff who would love to take you there! And of
course, it is just you and the guide for the day.

Lunch

All BMAC full day participants receive a generous picnic

lunch, provided by our local deli.

Select one of their delicious, gourmet sandwich options when you book
your trip.  Altitude Deli can cater to
most dietary requirements with notice, so please let us know of your needs as
soon as possible.

Things to bring

Comfortable clothes suited to the conditions.  Katoomba is 1000m above sea level and you can

expect cooler temperatures than in Sydney.

As a general rule we recommend:

Long sleeves and pants for sun and scratch protection

Wool, synthetic and fleece fabrics (no cotton or denim)

Closed shoes

Sun hat, sunscreen and beanie

Rain jacket

Hair tie for those with long hair

Water bottle – at least 1.5 litres.

Personal medication (Ventolin/EpiPen etc.)

Camera or Smartphone

Equipment provided

We will provide you with a backpack, helmet, harness, carabiners,
belay device, climbing shoes and all other necessary climbing equipment.  While we encourage all participants to bring
their own weather-appropriate clothing (see below), we have spare warm clothing
and rain jackets if needed.

Participant Requirements

We believe our rock climbing days are heaps of fun, and we
want to ensure you have the best experience possible. It’s important to us that
you have the fitness and skills to enjoy your time with us so please read on:

Fitness:  Rock
climbing involves strength, balance, flexibility and stamina – but you don’t
have to be an elite athlete to be a successful climber.   All we require is that participants have a
moderate level of fitness, as rock climbing days can involve steep uphill
walking with a backpack weighing up to 10kg.

Climbing experience
Previous lead climbing and belaying experience are required.  Please contact our office to discuss your
personal goals.

Also: BMAC requires each participant to follow all
instructions from our guides, to maintain a safe work environment and ensure
the wellbeing and safety of the whole group.

Please

contact us if you have any questions or concerns, we’d be delighted to talk with
you
